Lecturers of the Criminal Procedure and Organization of Pre-trial Investigation Chair Serhii Tereshchuk and Oleksii Salmanov, Associate Professor of the Administrative Law and Process Chair Nataliia Kolomoiets and lecturer of the Constitutional and International Law Nataliia Filipska took part in the international interdepartmental seminar "Effective technologies of the prevention of social orphanhood" in Vilnius (Republic of Lithuania).

The seminar began on April 26, 2017 in the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania. The signatories of the Act of Independence of Lithuania, Irena Andrukaitienė, the Deputy Minister of Social Protection and Labor of Lithuania Vilma Shilalene, the Director of the Lithuanian public organization "Angelu miestelis" Erikas Druskinas and the project coordinator, member of the NGO "Open World of Youth" Ulyana Kotlyarova were in preside.

One of the main objectives of this event was to explore ways of reforming the guardianship system with an objective to abolishing the orphanages and boarding schools because of the inadvisability. So, the content of the reform of Lithuania''s social policy lies in the education of children in a family environment.

The University representatives plan to reflect this experience and knowledge in their scientific and practical activities, as well as to bring to public their findings in the theses of scientific reports and news.

With the aim of establishing cooperation and exchanging experience with Lithuanian colleagues, contacts have been established with the member of the Signatories of the Lithuanian Independence Act Irena Andrukaitienė and the director of the Lithuanian public organization Angelu meistelis, Erikas Druskinas, who expressed a desire and interest in further cooperation.
