On the 1st of July, 2020 graduation of pilots, who will work in the units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, will be held at Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs for the first time.

Since 2019 Kremenchuk flight college has become a part of the University to provide training and retraining of aviation personnel (pilots and aviation engineering staff) of the
National Police, the National Guard, the State Emergency Service and the State Border Guard Service.
Today college graduates flew a Mi-2 helicopter at the airfield “Korotych” Kharkiv Aero Club named by V. S. Grizodubova APO OPD Ukraine.
The Rector of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, Police Colonel Dmytro Shvets, the Director of the College Oleksii Kotov, the Head of the Aero Club named by V. S.
Grizodubova APO OPD Ukraine Serhii Filatov etc. took part in the ceremony.
The graduates, who will serve in protection and rescue, are representatives of Kyiv, Poltava, Cherkasy, Kirovohrad and Kherson regions.

After a celebratory event, 6 graduate cadets started to fly a Mi-2 helicopter. An examiner and expert, a test pilot with 9,000 flight hours, Yurii Sharypenko helped, controlled and evaluated the accuracy of the operations of graduates.
The cadets showed practical skills of helicopter control as well as performed most common pilot’s exercises. The time, which was spent on performing tasks, will be included in flight duty hours. Over time, the future graduate pilots will get more flight hours as well as the experience.
