An online meeting of the scientific circle of the Department of Law-Enforcement Activity and Policeistics of the Faculty No.6 of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs was held in the format of Google Meet. The topic of the meeting was “Problems of systemic regulation of public relations in the information sphere”.

The meeting was opened by Viktoriia Melnyk, the head of the scientific circle, Assistant Professor of the Department of Law-Enforcement Activity and Policeistics. She outlined the priorities of legislative support of information legal relations in Ukraine and emphasized the necessity of the scientific circle remote work during the quarantine.

The meeting was attended by members of the circle - students of the university faculty and employees of the Department of Law-Enforcement Activity and Policeistics. Daria Hlushkova, the lecturer of the Department focused on using information technology at the present stage. Iryna Panova, the Head of the Department emphasized the necessity of regularization of information legislation, as one of the main state tasks and outlined the impact of globalization on Ukrainian lawmaking and directions of state policy of informatization. She gave examples of foreign experience in the legal regulation of information relations and the possibility of its use in Ukraine, analyzed current trends in determining the vectors for further development of legal regulation of information relations in Ukraine.

At the meeting, students' reports on current topics were heard and discussed, namely “The problem of information security in Ukraine”, speaker Kateryna Liabunets; “Legal issues of information protection in the mass media and the Internet”, speaker Alona Liakhova; “Person, environment, Internet”, speaker Liliia Birukova; “Formation of the information legislation system in Ukraine”, speaker Kateryna Vasiukhnyk, “Information rights - the basis of freedom formation and expression of human views”.
