Faculty No. 3 of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs was created in 2015 on the base of the former Faculty for Specialists Training for Public Security Militia Units and Criminal Militia Units for Children Affairs.
Faculty No. 3 of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs trains specialists for preventive units of the National Police of Ukraine with “bachelor’s” and “master’s” degrees of higher education majoring in “law enforcement activities” and “psychology”.
Educational process at the Faculty is carried out by Doctors and Candidates of Legal, Pedagogical and Psychological Sciences. University scientists organically combine fundamental theoretical knowledge with experience of work in internal affairs authorities of Ukraine.
Cooperation with component units is an integral part of the Faculty’s educational process. In particular, the Faculty fruitfully cooperates with the Department of Preventive Activities of the Headquarters of the National Police of Ukraine in Kharkiv Region, as well as with leading educational institutions from Ukraine and other countries.

The scientific and pedagogical staff of the Faculty is constantly working to improve teaching, methodological, research and educational process. Officers of the police practice units are constantly involved in training courses in the relevant disciplines.
The Faculty has all the conditions for the comprehensive development of the personality. Cadets actively participate in university-wide events, attend scientific circles and amateur art groups, and they are active participants in sports competitions
