Vasyl Korniienko, Associate Professor of the Department of Criminology, Forensic Expertise and First Aid Training of Faculty № 1, invited the senior investigator of the Investigation Department of the Serious Crimes Investigation Department of the Investigative Department of MD of the National Police in Zaporizka district, senior police lieutenant Ivan Romanchuk to conduct a practical criminology class with cadets of Group 301, Faculty№ 4.
The topic of the binary lesson is "Methods of investigating criminal offenses in the use of computers, systems and computer networks". This area of investigative activity is very complex, because criminal acts take place mainly in the digital environment using various virtual schemes and programs to illegally seize personal data, steal money and interfere in the network of enterprises, institutions and organizations both in Ukraine and abroad.
Ivan Romanchuk, who specializes in the investigation of crimes in the field of economics, told the cadets about the interesting details that should be paid attention to when investigating criminal offenses in this area. During the lesson, the cadets solved several practical tasks, received grades and asked questions to the investigator.
