On the eve of the 25th anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution of Ukraine, employees of the Department of Social and Humanitarian Work of KhNUIA organized a museum lecture for freshmen of all faculties on the topic "On guard of Freedom and Democracy".
The lecture was given by a researcher of Kharkiv Historical Museum named after M. F. Sumtsova Oleksii Kurtov. He reminded of the deep historical roots of the constitutional and legal tradition of Ukraine, that the desire for equality, freedom and democracy has entered the mental content of the Ukrainian nation since ancient times. One of the outstanding achievements of national law was the
development of the first European constitution by Hetman Philip Orlyk in 1710.
During the lecture, the main historical events of this process were covered.
