Students-psychologists of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs together with the teachers of the Department of Sociology and Psychology visited the Office-Museum of Honored Professor Mykola Serhiyovych Bokarius and the Scientific and Applied Museum, located in the National Research Center "Institute of Forensic Science named after Honored Professor M.S.Bokarius ” of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine. The tour was conducted by the head of the Scientific and Applied Museum - researcher of the laboratory of theoretical research,
editorial and publishing and scientific and methodological activities Kateryna Sylenok.

Honored Professor Mykola Serhiiovych Bokarius - an outstanding forensic physician and criminologist, founder of Kharkiv Cabinet of Forensic Science, founder of forensic medicine, created Kharkiv Scientific School of Forensic Experts, whose representatives have made a significant contribution to the development of forensic expertise keeping the memory of M.S. Bokarius, bringing to the scientific community of forensic experts, students and other visitors as much information as possible about the outstanding personality of M.S. Bokarius - the main task of the museum.

Students and teachers of the university got acquainted with rare and unique exhibits. The design of the exposition of the office-museum is based on the principle of demonstration of exhibits as unique objects, which are combined into thematic, stylistic and typological blocks. This solution allows you to assess the value of each item in terms of time, style, value, focusing on its value. The total number of museum exhibits is over 1000 copies.

The Museum of Applied Sciences is one of the sources of history, where you can meet the past, see the present and look into the future of forensic science. Each museum exhibit is a unique source of information and a reflection of its era.

Each stand of the exposition is dedicated to a certain page of the National Research Center from its foundation to the present. The exhibits of the museum reflect certain aspects of expert, research and educational activities.

The exposition consists of the following thematic stands: "Photozone: Bertillonage", "Interactive Zone: Fingerprinting", "History of Foundation, Formation and Development", "Gemological Research", "Art Research", "Handwriting Research", "Expert Equipment", "Research paper money", "Cold Weapons Research", "Firearms Research", "Biological Research", "Gifts", "Current State of  International, Educational and Research Activity".
