Mykhailo Shcherbakovskyi, a Head of the Department of Criminal Procedure, Criminalistics and Expertology of the Faculty No. 6, Doctor of Law, Professor took part in the discussion of the draft Law of Ukraine “On Forensic Activity” at an online meeting with the management of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine. The online meeting took place at Hon. Prof. M. S. Bokarius Kharkiv Research Institute of Forensic Examinations.

The event was attended by Deputy Minister of Justice of Ukraine on Executive Service Andrii Haichenko, Deputy Minister of Justice of Ukraine Oleksandr Banchuk, Head of the Department of Expert Support for Justice of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine Nataliia Tkachenko, Adviser to the Minister of Justice of Ukraine Viktoriia Alekseichuk, representatives of the Directorate of Justice and Criminal Justice of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine, management and representatives of forensic institutions of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine, the State Scientific Research Forensic Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, the Ukrainian Scientific and Research Institute of Special Equipment and Forensic Expertise of the Security Service of Ukraine and others.

The participants of the meeting noted that the event was important and socially significant, and an integrated approach to reforming the basic legislation on issues of expert justice support is of priority importance for the further development of forensic expertise in Ukraine. Numerous proposals for the draft legislation were presented during the speeches.
