A webinar on “The Covid-19 Pandemic as a Factor in Increasing Domestic Violence” was held at KhNUIA. The webinar was held in English with consecutive translation into Ukrainian.

The speaker of the webinar was EUAM Adviser/Trainer on Criminal Investigations Crista Granroth (Finland; Field Office Kharkiv).

The speaker told about gender-based violence and its features, reasons and types of domestic violence, the impact of COVID-19 in the forms, severity and frequency of violence both in Ukraine and in EU countries.

Statistics and a survey of violent crimes in Finland and EU countries for the years 2019-2020 were presented for attendees. Also a question of the impact of COVID-19 on the search and assistance to victims of domestic violence and ways of solution of such problems.

Applicants for higher education and representatives of the scientific and teaching staff of KhNUIA and separate structural subdivisions took part in the webinar.
