Professor of the Department of Legal Disciplines of Sumy Branch of KhNUIA Natalia Gorobets and Associate Professor of the same Department Yana Sadykova conducted an interdisciplinary seminar “Recodification of Civil Law in Ukraine” for masters, students and cadets of 2-4 courses of Sumy Branch, studing "Law" and "Law Enforcement" within the disciplines "Civil Law", "Civil Law and Procedure” , “Civil Procedure”,“Private International Law”and “Enforcement Proceedings ”.

The event was dedicated to the first sitting in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of the Working Group on preparation of the draft Law on recodification (update) of the civil legislation of Ukraine (28.01.21). The event was attended by 96 graduates.
The participants of the event discussed this event, as well as the importance of updating civil legislation at this stage of Ukraine's development.
The expediency of repealing the Commercial and Family Codes and the impact of such decisions on law enforcement activities were discussed. The speakers of the event were lecturer Yana Sadykova and Natalia Gorobets, students Anastasiia Kysilenko, Vlad Zabila, Anna Tereshchenko, cadets Vladyslav Fedorenko and Illia Koshman.
4th year student Anastasiia Kysilenko analyzed the draft Concept of updating the Civil Code of Ukraine. The report aroused interest among the participants of the seminar and lively discussions. In particular, the participants spoke about the scope of such a legislative document, the expediency of including Book 8 "Private International Law" and the prospects for the adoption of this act by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
