International Book Giving Day takes place on February 14, which means only one thing - the unification of those who donate books and those who instill a love of books and reading.

The book is one of the most valuable human inventions. “The book saves the soul from woodiness” - these words were written by Taras Hryhorovych Shevchenko. So, does humanity need books? No doubt they are needed! They read books, study, acquire knowledge and read during leisure. Love for the book is from childhood and for life. We often read a good book many times and every time we find in it something new, interesting, impressive. Such books are the Bible, “Kobzar” by Taras Shevchenko and many others - they never grow old, do not get bored.

The tradition of giving books this year was actively supported by applicants for higher education, cadets of the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd courses of the Faculty No.2. Perseverance and active cadets' search work allow expanding the boundaries of cultural interests, which were focused on, creating the Education and Exhibition Center “Shevchenko is the soul of the Ukrainian people”. After all, among the gifts are rare editions of works by Hryhorii Skovoroda, Lesya Ukrainka, Hryhorii Kvitka-Osnovianenko, and Ivan Franko in the middle of the 20th century. Each gift is a vivid confirmation of a deep and unquenchable love for Ukrainian culture.

We are grateful to everyone for the priceless gifts and good deeds!
