Telegram users of “StopNarcotics” chatbot helped block 2,000 addresses of “drugstores” in the Telegram messenger used by criminals for illicit drug distribution.

Despite the quarantine measures introduced in Ukraine related to overcoming the coronavirus epidemic, representatives of the Faculty No.4 (Cyberpolice) of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs continue to support the work of the Telegram chatbot “StopNarcotics”, developed by them (https://t.me/StopDrugsB).

During the operational period of the Telegram chatbot “StopNarcotics”, its users helped to stop the work of 2021 e-mail addresses used by criminals to illegally sell drugs via the Internet.

More than 34.5 thousand users from all over Ukraine got acquainted with the “StopNarkotics” chatbot and its work. They sent for verification of possible involvement in the illegal drug distribution more than 56 thousand e-mail addresses in the Telegram messenger and more than 25 thousand photos of inscriptions and stickers advertising drug addresses, which they found on the streets of their settlements.
