Classes in the discipline "Pre-Medical Training" have begun for first-year cadets, in which higher education students gain knowledge and practical skills necessary to provide timely and quality pre-medical care to people in an emergency before the arrival of the emergency medical team. Classes are held in the form of practical training in emergency care techniques.

During one of these classes, a lecturer at the Department of Criminalistics, Forensic Science and Pre-Medical Training of the Faculty No. 1 of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, Police Major Yevhenii Zozulia, and Head of the Department's Laboratory Vitalii Zahorulko conducted a practical lesson in the study group 105 of the Faculty No. 3, where first aid in case of sudden cardiac arrest in the framework of the topic “Cardiovascular system. Urgent cardiovascular conditions” was practiced.

Using modern equipment - a dummy for cardiopulmonary resuscitation and a training automatic defibrillator, which were received by Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs from the European Union Advisory Mission in Ukraine in the framework of the international technical assistance project "Operational support in providing strategic advice on sector reform. Security of Ukraine (2019-2021)", - cadets consolidated theoretical knowledge with practical skills of cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
