KhNUIA honored the memory of heroes and victims of Chornobyl tragedy (updated, video)

April 26 is the day of remembrance of the largest man-made disaster in the history of mankind, a reminder of the heroic feat of the liquidators of Chornobyl accident, who were the first to enter into an unequal battle. On the occasion of the International Chornobyl Remembrance Day, requiem meetings were held at all locations of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs.

On the day of the 38th anniversary of Chornobyl nuclear power plant accident, cadets, students and employees of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs at all locations of the higher education institution - in Kharkiv, Vinnytsia, Khmelnytskyi, Sumy and Poltava regions - honored the memory of the victims of the largest nuclear disaster that claimed the lives of thousands of people and caused irreparable damage to the environment.

Meeting with curators of study groups

Serhii Sevriukov, Deputy Dean of the Faculty No. 1 of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, emphasized the important role of the curator in the national and patriotic, moral and ethical education of cadets. It was noted that the curator, by personal example, contributes to the formation of virtuous behavior in students.

A meeting of the scientific circle was held

Stanislav Ivanov, Associate Professor of the Department of Theory and History of State and Law of the Faculty No. 1, held a regular meeting of the scientific club. The participants discussed topical issues related to Russia's large-scale aggression against Ukraine and changes in the international security system. Students of Faculties 2 and 3 made presentations on the causes of the Russian-Ukrainian war and its impact on the transformation of international security.

Academic integrity: an online course for lecturers

Oleksandr Avdieiev, Associate Professor of the Department of Criminal Law and Criminology of the Faculty No. 1, took the course. He learned how to apply theoretical knowledge in practice in teaching and research. The purpose of the course is to provide an understanding of how to develop a culture of academic integrity, regardless of the subject and direction of teaching.

Career guidance work continues in Chernivtsi region

Olena Horash, a lecturer at the Department of Criminal Law and Criminology of the Faculty No. 1, held an online meeting with 11th grade students of Kyselytskyi Lyceum of Putylska Village Council of Vyzhnytskyi District, Chernivtsi Region. She told the future graduates about the history of formation and the current state of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs.

With the assistance of Volodymyr Yuzko, Director of Khotyn Professional College of the Higher Education Institution "Podilskyi State University", representatives of KhNUIA held a career guidance meeting with students majoring in Accounting and Taxation.

Binary lesson in the discipline "Criminal Law of Ukraine"

Senior Investigator of the General Criminal Investigation Department of the Investigation Department of Kamianets-Podilskyi District Police Department of the National Police of Ukraine in Khmelnytskyi Region, Police Captain Vitalii Atamaniuk, together with Professor of the Department of Criminal Law and Criminology Kyrylo Cherevko, conducted a binary class for 3rd year cadets of Faculty No. 1.

Improving the level of professional qualification

Oleksii Salmanov, Acting Deputy Dean for Educational and Methodological Work of the Faculty No. 1 of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, took a training course on "Media Literacy: How to Avoid Manipulation?" The program was developed by the National Media Literacy Project "Filter" of the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine with the support of the US Embassy in Ukraine.

Vasyl Korniienko, Head of the Department of Criminalistics, Forensic Science and Pre-medical Training of the Faculty No. 1, conducted a binary lesson for 3rd year cadets of the Faculty No. 1 on the topic "Investigative examination". Mykyta Ahafonov, a forensic specialist at the Criminalistics Department of the Investigation Department of Luhansk Oblast National Police, joined the online class.
