Global Money Week (World week of money) is the annual international information campaign including actions (lectures, workshops, master classes, competitions, and contests) in different countries of the world on the financial subject for children and youth for the purpose of increasing financial awareness of the younger generation.

"Take care of yourself, take care of your money!" is the official theme of Global Money Week in 2021, which emphasizes the importance of preserving the health and financial sustainability of the population in today's conditions.

The scientific and pedagogical staff of the Department of Socio-Economic Disciplines of Sumy branch of KhNUIA - the head of the department, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor Olena Lukianykhina, Associate Professor of the department, Candidate of Economic Sciences Liudmyla Parfentii and Senior Lecturer of the department, Candidate of Economic Sciences Svitlana Petrovska, together with the first and the fourth year students of specialty 081 ‘Law” joined the webinars held on the occasion of Global Money Week - 2021 in Ukraine, organized by the National Bank of Ukraine. The purpose of the event is to increase financial awareness.

The webinar on "NBU - 30 years of development: what we were, what has changed and what future we are building" was conducted by the Deputy Director of the Strategy and Development Department of the NBU Mykhailo Vidiakin. He spoke about the peculiarities of the NBU and its key functions, transformational changes over the years of independence. The participants got acquainted with the main strategic directions of further development of the NBU as the central bank of Ukraine.

The Speaker of the webinar "How and when did the National Bank of Ukraine emerge?" was Denys Tolochko, Director of the Museum of Money of the National Bank of Ukraine. He acquainted with the history of the formation and development of banking in Ukraine. The webinar participants learned how the central bank appeared the hryvnia appeared, where Ukrainian money is made.

The information obtained at the webinars will be useful both to increase the general level of financial literacy and in the study of the disciplines "Fundamentals of Economic Theory", "Finance", "Audit" and others.
