For the 150th anniversary of the birth of the outstanding Ukrainian writer Lesia Ukrainka, employees of Sumy branch of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs prepared a video reciting one of the most famous poems of the poetess "Contra spem spero!", which was first published in the poetry collection "On the wings of songs" 1893, published in Lviv.

Celebrations dedicated to the anniversary of the outstanding Ukrainian woman took place at Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs in the cultural and educational center of Faculty № 2. Lesia Ukrainka (Larysa Petrivna Kosach) was born on 25 February, 150 years ago. Without exaggeration, she is one of the most prominent figures in the history of Ukrainian culture, a mystical writer, intellectual, word-maker, fragile in body but surprisingly strong in spirit, a talented pianist, a marine painter kissed by God.

February 25 marks the 150th anniversary of the birth of Ukrainian poetess Lesia Ukrainka. This anniversary is celebrated at the state level: scientific symposia and conferences, poetry recitation, international competitions and flash mobs. The figure of the Daughter of Prometheus united literary critics, historians, political scientists, and art critics. Psychology students also joined the celebration of the anniversary of Larysa Petrivna Kosach.
