Lesia Ukrainka is a genius daughter of the Ukrainian people, the beauty and pride of the nation, the spiritual leader of the Ukrainian intelligentsia. Honoring the work of the poetess, Sumy branch of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs implemented a number of cultural, artistic, and educational projects.

For the 150th anniversary of the birth of the outstanding Ukrainian writer Lesia Ukrainka, employees of Sumy branch of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs prepared a video reciting one of the most famous poems of the poetess "Contra spem spero!", which was first published in the poetry collection "On the wings of songs" 1893, published in Lviv.

Celebrations dedicated to the anniversary of the outstanding Ukrainian woman took place at Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs in the cultural and educational center of Faculty № 2. Lesia Ukrainka (Larysa Petrivna Kosach) was born on 25 February, 150 years ago. Without exaggeration, she is one of the most prominent figures in the history of Ukrainian culture, a mystical writer, intellectual, word-maker, fragile in body but surprisingly strong in spirit, a talented pianist, a marine painter kissed by God.

February 25 marks the 150th anniversary of the birth of Ukrainian poetess Lesia Ukrainka. This anniversary is celebrated at the state level: scientific symposia and conferences, poetry recitation, international competitions and flash mobs. The figure of the Daughter of Prometheus united literary critics, historians, political scientists, and art critics. Psychology students also joined the celebration of the anniversary of Larysa Petrivna Kosach.

Diana Zimacheva and Bohdan Kushko, the second-year students of Kremenchuk Flight College of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs took part in Maria Fischer-Slyzh I International (VII All-Ukrainian XVII All-Crimean) festival-competition of pupil and student creativity “Let’s fight for new life”

Vitalii Naida, Senior Lieutenant, a master`s student of the Faculty No 1 of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, has entered into a cooperation agreement with Ananda Films, a Polish film company with international status on the creation of a feature film based on the script "Grab God by the Beard". 

Yuliia Kosheva, the lecturer and Oksana Trisko, a specialist in the Psychological Support Division of the Personnel Department of Kremenchuk Flight College of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, conducted a binary lesson on the topic “Formation of personal interaction as a component of professional activity of future pilots” in the discipline “Psychology”.

Professor of the Department of Social and Humanitarian Disciplines, Faculty № 6 of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs Volodymyr Shapoval held a career guidance meeting with students and management of Kharkiv Medical College № 2.

Within the framework of the Scientific Society of students, cadets, graduate students, adjuncts, doctoral students and young scientists of the University, Advisor to the Rector for Gender Issues, PhD in Law, Oksana Tsukan gave a lecture for third (higher education) level students on the topic: "Jean Monnet in the EU Erasmus + Program framework: opportunities for young scientists".

Nataliia Yelnikova, a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Ukrainian Studies, Faculty № 2 with the staff of the University Department of Social and Humanitarian Work gave a video lecture for cadets and students dedicated to the 150th anniversary of Lesia Ukrainka.
