Celebrations on the occasion of the graduation of attendees of the specialization courses on the observance of human rights of the Institute of Postgraduate Education took place at Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs. That was the first graduation of attendees from courses of the mentioned specialization. During two weeks, 23 representatives of the Human Rights Directorate of the National Police of Ukraine from different regions had been receiving special knowledge and skills. They got acquainted with the work of the information system "Custody records", its structure, content, with the organization of the work of rooms for detainees, temporary detention facilities, the procedure for drawing up procedural documents, etc.

Valerii Sokurenko, Rector of the University, Police General of the 3-rd rank, Ruslan Horiachenko, Head of the Human Rights Directorate of the National Police of Ukraine, Police Colone, Dmytro Shvets, First Vice-Rector, Police Colonel, handed over the certificates of successful completion of the training to the attendees of the courses. The Rector of the University, addressing the graduates of the courses, noted that "Society and the Ukrainian people need your work. Citizens should feel that the state takes care of them, that their rights are protected. And in these matters, you are at the forefront". He also wished that the knowledge gained at the courses would be useful during the service and a good foundation for further professional and career growth. "Always follow the law in your actions! Serve in such a way that people will respect you and the Lord God will protect you!", - Valerii Sokurenko emphasized.

Ruslan Horiachenko, Head of the Human Rights Directorate of the National Police of Ukraine, congratulated attendees on the successful completion of the training, stressing that the educational process had been very intensive and fruitful. All graduates demonstrated a high level of knowledge based on the test results. Ruslan Horiachenko expressed gratitude to the university administration, scientific and pedagogical staff for the high level of the educational process organization, good material and technical base of the university. “Two weeks passed like one day,” noted the Head of the Directorate. - We talked a lot with lecturers, course attendees, exchanged knowledge and practical experience, conducted several binary lessons for cadets. Participants received a lot of useful and necessary information”. In token of the continuation of fruitful cooperation in the field of human rights protection, Ruslan Horiachenko handed over a commemorative sign to the Rector of the University.

On behalf of the course attendees, Police Lieutenant Colonel Zhanna Mishkevych expressed gratitude to the administration, and the scientific and pedagogical staff of the university. She noted "professionalism, an interesting and extraordinary approach of teaching theoretical material by university specialists, a combination of classical knowledge and the latest technologies."

The creative team of the university prepared a musical congratulation for the participants of the event.

The event took place in compliance with quarantine requirements.
