Today, January 22, on the day of proclamation of the Act of Unification of the Ukrainian People's Republic and the Western Ukrainian People's Republic, representatives of Kremenchuk Flight College honored with a minute of silence all fighters for Ukraine's sovereignty and put flowers at the foot of the monument to Taras Shevchenko.
Oksana Maliutina, the Head of the Preparatory Department of the Faculty № 6, conducted a lecture-conversation with the listeners, devoted to the historical events of January 22, 1919 on the topic "Day of the Unification of Ukraine: historical significance". It is noted that the proclamation of the Act of Zluky (unification) was the embodiment of the long-standing desire of the Ukrainian people for unity.
Solemn events were held on the occasion of the Day of Unity of Ukraine and graduation of students of masters` degree of the Faculty № 6. The management of the university, headed by the Rector, Doctor of Law, Professor, Police General of the Third Rank Valerii Sokurenko, employees, cadets, students, graduates of masters degree, their parents and relatives gathered on the large square of the university.
103 years ago, on January 22, 1919, a significant event in Ukrainian history took place – the Act of Unity of Ukraine. It had political, historical and psychological significance. Political, because the two republics, the Ukrainian People's Republic and the Western Ukrainian People's Republic, have merged into one state.
Applicants for higher education and curators of Sumy branch of KhNUIA visited the exposition "We are Ukrainians", which was prepared by Sumy Museum of Local History for the Day of Unity of Ukraine. Cadets and students heard the first anthem, which was played this day 103 years ago. They also got acquainted with a copy of the Act of Unification and heard the history of the battle for independence and indivisibility of the country in 1919.
Every year the staff of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs together with all citizens of Ukraine celebrates one of the greatest days in the history of our state – the Day of Unity of Ukraine. The assertion of the unity of the people in the conciliar state, the feeling of a large family, as well back in 1919, as today plays an important role in the formation of the Ukrainian nation.
On the eve of the Day of Unity of Ukraine, thematic video lectures were held for cadets and first-year students of faculties № 1-4, 6 of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs. Cadets of faculties № 1-4 and students of Faculty № 6 visited the book-illustrative exposition "Only one Ukraine in the world", prepared by specialists of Scientific Library of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs on the occasion of the Day of Unity of Ukraine.
A lecture on the topic "Historical significance of the unification" was held for the cadets of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs on the occasion of the Day of Unity of Ukraine.
On January 22, 2022 marks 103 years since the adoption of the Universal Directory on the Unification of the Ukrainian People's Republic and the Western Ukrainian People's Republic into a single state. This event became known in history as the Day of Unity of Ukraine, which embodies the eternal desire of our people for unity, integrity and indivisibility.
On the eve of the Day of Unity of Ukraine, January 21, solemn events took place in Kremenchuk, which was attended by representatives of Kremenchuk Flight College of KhNUIA. The management of the educational institution, employees, cadets and students of the college together with the city administration put flowers at the foot of the monument to the Great Kobzar in memory of the fighters for freedom and liberty of Ukraine.
