Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs is hosting the XXVIII Scientific and Practical Conference of Adjunct and Postgraduate Students "Actual Problems of Modern Science in Research of Young Scientists" and the XXVIII Scientific and Practical Conference of Cadets and Students "Modern Science and Law Enforcement". The conference was opened by the Rector of the University, Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Legal Sciences of Ukraine, Doctor of Legal Sciences, Professor, and Honored Lawyer of Ukraine Valerii Sokurenko.

Oleksii Serdiuk, Deputy Head of the Research Laboratory on Crime Enforcement at Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, spoke about the regional research project "Security and Trust" on the air of the "Know More" programme. In a conversation with the presenter and journalists, it was said how this project is related to police reform, how public opinion polls help identify local law enforcement problems.

The Coordinating Council of Young Lawyers of Ukraine announced the Laureates (finalists) of the All-Ukrainian competition "Young Lawyer of the Year" following the results of 2020 in the nomination "Young Scientist". One of the laureates was Nataliia Duravkina, Associate Professor of the Department of Legal Disciplines of Sumy Branch of KhNUIA, Candidate of Law, Associate Professor.

A meeting of the scientific circle "VERITAS" of the Department of Humanities of Sumy branch of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs on the topic "The psychology of personality success" was held by video conference on the platform for video meetings Zoom.

The 5th International Scientific and Practical Round Table "Modern Doctrine of Criminal Law in the Legal System of Ukraine: Concepts, Sources, Significance, Problems of Formation" was held online at the Yaroslav Mudryi National Law University.

The third lecture of the mini-lectures series dedicated to the Day of Europe in Ukraine "Virtual Tour to Europe" took place at Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs. The report on the topic "Sweden and the Swedish Police" was presented by Ove Pettersson, Adviser on Community Policing of EUAM Field Office Kharkiv.

On the eve of the Road Safety Week, which takes place in Ukraine this year from 17 to 23 May, the library of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs has prepared a book-illustrative exhibition "Road safety - safety of life".

Hanna Sheliekhova, the head of the Zarichnyi District Court of Sumy, gave a lecture to students of 1-2 courses of Sumy branch of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs on the topic "Right to Hope" and spoke about various aspects of the issue of life imprisonment.

A meeting of the scientific circle of the Department of Ukrainian Studies of Faculty № 2 of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs was held on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the birth of the genius master of psychological novels Vasyl Stefanyk.

The International Scientific and Practical Conference "Aviation, Industry, Society", which is being held for the second time, has started online at Kremenchuk Flight College of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs. The conference was opened by the first vice-rector of the university, Doctor of Law, Associate Professor, Honored Worker of Education of Ukraine Dmytro Shvets.
