The Day of the Defender of Ukraine is a state holiday, celebrated in Ukraine on October 14, during the Intercession of the Holy Virgin at the same time as the Day of Ukrainian Cossacks.  Starting from 2015, this day has been considered a public holiday and this is thus a day off in Ukraine. The holiday was established on October 14, 2014 by the decree of the Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko to honor the courage and heroism of defenders of independence and territorial integrity of Ukraine, military traditions and victories of the Ukrainian people, promote further strengthening of patriotic spirit in society and public initiative.

Museum lectures, dedicated to the period of the National Liberation Movement of the years of 1917-1921, were held in the University’s museum on the Ukrainian Cossack Day. One of the territories where the enemies of the Ukrainian people found stubborn resistance and the best Cossack traditions of protection of peaceful labor, military bravery and self-sacrifice have been revived, was the territory of the Kholodnoyarsk Republic in Cherkasy Region.

To the Day of the Defender of Ukraine, the Day of the Ukrainian Cossacks and the Intercession of the Blessed Virgin celebrated annually on October 14, the university library presents a detailed book illustrative exposition "From Cossacks to Cyborgs".

Cadets of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs took part in the camping trip «Autumn Marsh - 2020» with elements of sports orientation with the help of a compass and location map, which is a component of military and patriotic education of the youth.

10-th International scientific-practical conference “Legal guarantees of ensuring the citizens’ rights for work and social protection” was held online on the Zoom platform, which was organized by the Department of Labor Law of Yaroslav Mudryi National Law University.

A meeting of students and cadets-psychologists with the officer of the group of moral and psychological support of the Joint Forces Command, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor, Corresponding Member of the International Academy of Sciences of Pedagogical Education Oleh Zarichanskyi took place.

Holub Mykola, Assistant Professor of the Department of Law-Enforcement Activity and Policeistics of the Faculty No. 6, together with Maksym Petukhov and Yevhen Vedmederia,
Senior Inspectors on Special Assignments of the Public Relations Department of Kharkiv Regional Patrol Police Department, conducted a binary lesson for students of several study
groups on the topic “Law enforcement agencies. Patrol police as an integral part of the National Police of Ukraine, its tasks and functions”.

Specialist of the Department of International Cooperation Kushchev Oleksandr together with Professor of the Department of Constitutional and International Law of the Faculty No. 4 Voitsikhovskyi Andrii conducted an introductory lesson for Master's Students of the Faculty No. 1 on the topic “Ukraine-NATO: current status, features and prospects of cooperation”.

Dmytro Tymoshenko, a senior lecturer at the Department of Civil Law and Procedure of the Faculty No. 6, and a lawyer Isa Huliiev conducted a binary lesson for students of the Faculty No. 6 on the topic “Legal Entities” in the discipline “Civil Law”.

The Department of Criminal Law and Criminology of the Faculty № 6 actively conducts career guidance activities in educational institutions. Senior Lecturer of the Department Karyna Salaieva visited Bezliudivskyi Law Lyceum named after I. Pidkopai of Kharkiv District Council of Kharkiv Region.
