On the eve of the Candlemas in the ethnic-estate “Lialyna Svitlytsia” in Opishnia, Poltava region, an ethnic event “Yarylo is flirting with a Spring” took place. The organizer of the action was an ethnologist, Doctor of Historical Sciences Olena Shcherban, who spoke about the traditions of celebrating Candlemas, which have been preserved and reproduced during the calendar and ceremonial holidays. The celebration was joined by the Head of the cycle commission of philological disciplines Oksana Savchenko.

On the occasion of the 32nd anniversary of the withdrawal of troops from Afghanistan and the Day of Honoring the participants of hostilities on the territory of other states, flowers were laid at the Memorial Complex to the victims of the Democratic Republic of Afghanistan on the Culture street. The event was attended by representatives of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, led by the Rector, General of the Third Rank Police Valerii Sokurenko, together with representatives of state and local self-government bodies, ATO and JFO soldiers.

The day of honoring the participants of hostilities on the territories of other states is a memorable date in the history of our country. 2nd year cadets of Sumy branch of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs joined the city events and laid flowers at the memorial to the soldiers who died in Afghanistan.
