Representatives of the Department of Foreign Languages - Head of the Department Olena Orlova, Associate Professors Oleksandr Levashov and Valentyna Pochuieva, with the support of International Cooperation Department of the University, with the participation of the representative of the Kharkiv Regional Office of the European Union Advisory Mission, Adviser/Trainer on Rule of Law Saer Ammar (Germany) conducted a binary lesson for master students of the Faculty No.1 on “Law in the modern world” in the course of "Foreign language for professional direction”.
The basic concepts of law, its principles, functions and structure were discussed. Saer Ammar stressed that law is seen as a system of legal principles and norms formed in society, and recognized by its majority as a just measure of freedom and equality, provided by the state as regulators of social relations to reconcile individual, social group and public interests.
The lesson was informative and interesting, which was facilitated by the methodological support of the Department. The modern issues of law were discussed during fruitful discussion. Master's students gained practical knowledge, as well as expanded English vocabulary, which helps them to increase the motivation of learning and professionally-oriented studying of foreign languages.
