Scientific Society of students, cadets, attendees, post-graduates, adjuncts, doctoral candidates and young scientists of the University (hereinafter referred to as Scientific Society) is a part of a system of University’s public self-government.

Scientific Society is a voluntary association of students, cadets, attendees, post-graduates, adjuncts, doctoral candidates and young scientists, providing protection of rights and interests of persons, who work or study at a higher educational establishment, in particular, concerning questions of scientific activity, support for knowledge-based ideas, innovations and knowledge interchange.

Scientific Society is designed to bring together the scientific potential of higher education teaching personnel, students, cadets, attendees, post-graduates, adjuncts, doctoral candidates and young scientists of the University, and it aims to intensify scientific research, publish its results, and expand scientific and creative contacts.

Main tasks of the Scientific Society: it adopts acts regulating its organization and activities; namely, conducts organizational, scientific and educational activities; promotes scientific activities among university youth, helps to attract students to scientific work and innovation activities; it represents the interests of students, cadets, attendees, post-graduates, adjuncts, doctoral candidates and young scientists in the administration of the University and other organizations on scientific work and academic career development; it improves the quality of scientific research; facilitates the exchange of information between young scientists and researchers; it promotes inter-university and international cooperation; it cooperates with the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and National Sectoral Academies of Sciences, scientific and research institutions; it monitors talented young people of the University, working in partnership with other university units; it performs other functions in accordance with the requirements of this Regulation of the Law of Ukraine “On Higher Education” and other laws of Ukraine.

Persons under 35 (40 years for doctoral candidates), who study or work at the university, can be members of the Scientific Society voluntarily and on their personal choice.

Cadets and students who were admitted to the Scientific Circles of Departments automatically acquire the status of members of the Scientific Society.
