The first stage of the 21-th Petro Yatsyk International Ukrainian Language Competition took place at Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs on the Day of Ukrainian Literature and Language. The purpose of the competition was to establish the state status of the Ukrainian language, raise its prestige among young people, foster respect for the culture and traditions of the Ukrainian people, increase language education in Ukraine, identify creatively gifted youth and develop its potential.
The event was organized by the Department of Ukrainian Studies of the Faculty No. 2. 2 rounds of the competition took place. 1 and 2 year cadets from all Faculties of the university took part in the first round, where a competition of works was held. In the second round, which was reached by the best, 18 finalists had to complete various tasks and write a miniature work for 60 minutes online (using the ZOOM platform). The camera had to be set up in such a way that you could see the performer's face and the place where the contestant was working.
