Olha Bezpalova, Head of the Department of Police Activity and Public Administration of the Faculty No.3, took an online course “Strengthening teaching and organizational management at universities” through the platform of mass open online courses Prometheus.

The course presents different views on improving the quality of teaching, updating educational programs, change management and leadership at the university. The course “Strengthening teaching and organizational management at universities” is the result of cooperation between experts from Ukraine and Germany, teachers and staff of the NGO "Higher", the Saxon Center for Teaching and Learning in Higher Education (HDS) (Germany) and the National Agency for Quality Assurance in Higher Education. The project is funded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Germany.

This course will help teachers, change agents, heads of the departments, program guarantors and university management to find effective ways to stimulate and support quality teaching at the level of educational components (individual courses), the educational program and the university as a whole.

The course covered the following topics: "Strengthening teaching at the course level", "Strengthening teaching at the educational program level", "Strengthening teaching, leadership and organizational development at the university level".

This course is interesting for: university teachers who are constantly striving to develop pedagogical skills; heads of departments and program guarantors who want to thoughtfully and systematically improve educational programs with the involvement of various stakeholders; heads of higher education institutions seeking to develop the quality of teaching; change agents in universities who would like to support university’s teachers.

The acquired knowledge will help to raise the professional level during the teaching of academic disciplines, development of educational programs with the involvement of various stakeholders. According to the results of participation in the distance course, a certificate was received.
