Use of a polygraph during training sessions

Lt. Col. Nataliia Novikova, Head of the Department of Psychological Support of the Department of Recruiting and Organization of Career Guidance, and Viktoriia Dotsenko, Associate Professor of the Department of Pedagogy and Psychology, conducted a binary lesson on “Effective Communication” for patrol police officers, who undergo advanced training.

The police officers got acquainted with the basic principles and methods of psychophysiological research using a polygraph. Patrol officers were given the opportunity to test the operation of a lie detector, being in the role of subjects on demonstration tests. During the lesson, special attention was also paid to the application of the polygraph.
