First-year cadets and students, and staff of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, led by the Vice-Rector of the University Anatolii Klochko, visited the Memorial and Museum of Memory and Glory, which is located on the territory of the 92nd Separate Mechanized Brigade named after Ivan Sirko in Kluhyno-Bashkyrivka village, Chuhuiv district, Kharkiv region.

The cadets and students laid flowers at the Memorial of Glory, unveiled in May last year, and honored the memory of the fallen soldiers of the brigade with a minute of silence. The Head of the House of Culture Pavlo Bendiuh met with the guests of the unit.

A tour of the museum for university representatives was conducted by Lieutenant Colonel Artur Batistov. He told about the sad and heroic pages of the events taking place today in the Eastern part of Ukraine, acquainted with the military path of the 92nd Separate Mechanized Brigade named after Ivan Sirko, the brightest and the most memorable pages of heroic feats and victories of which are stored in the museum in photographs and personal stuffs of some soldiers. The young people were very impressed by the room of memory and the commemoration of the fallen soldiers of the brigade. According to the Orthodox tradition, the military chaplain of the unit, Father Serhii, conducted a prayer service.

In the assembly hall of the House of Culture, cadets and students watched a documentary about the modern history of the 92nd Separate Mechanized Brigade named after Ivan Sirko, visited the gym and shooting range, where those who took the opportunity, made several shots from a small-caliber rifle.

The Vice-Rector of the University Anatolii Klochko thanked for the hospitable reception and handed over to the museum a copy of the new book of the Minister of Internal Affairs Arsen Avakov, dedicated to the events of 2014, which opened a new page of heroism and feat of the Ukrainian people in freedom and independence.
