The cadets and students of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs who are trained in specialty 125 "Cybersecurity", being members of the team took the fourth place in the competitions on cybersecurity "CTF Stream" which took place as a two-day training event on cybersecurity "Cyber Education Day 2021".

The event was organized by the National Coordination Center for Cybersecurity (NCCC) at the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine and CRDF Global (USA) with the financial support of the US Department of State.

On the first day of Cyber Education Day 2021, “CyberTalk Stream” Conference was held in panel discussions:

- building and developing a career in cybersecurity;

- challenges and professional development of human resources of cybersecurity specialists in the field of critical infrastructure of Ukraine;

- cybersecurity education in higher educational institutions;

- employers’s requirements in the field of cybersecurity and critical infrastructure;

- features of personnel selection for cybersecurity jobs;

- what should you prepare for developing as cybersecurity specialists.

 

The speakers at the conference were heads and representatives of state organizations - the National Bank of Ukraine, the Cyberpolice Department of the National Police of Ukraine, the State Service of Special Communications and Information Protection of Ukraine, SC "Ukroboronprom", Naftogaz of Ukraine) and commercial institutions (IBM, Hideez, SenseIT, Security Experts Group).

More than 100 applicants were registered to participate in the CTF competitions, but the organizers admitted only those who successfully passed the preliminary tests of knowledge level.

The “CyberCops” team was formed at the University from the applicants of higher education in specialty 125 "Cybersecurity", its participants successfully passed the preliminary selection and took part in the CTF competitions remotely. The members of the University team were at the University training ground for combating cybercrime and cyberspace monitoring equipped with modern powerful computer equipment, dedicated to separate local wired and wireless networks with high-speed Internet connection, multimedia equipment and multimedia equipment necessary for mastering the modern and popular profession of a cybersecurity specialist. practical tasks such as CTF are also actively used in training of future cybersecurity specialists in the learning process at Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs.

 In total, 14 teams took part in the CTF Stream competition. According to their results, the team of the University "CyberCops" took the 4th place in the overall rating.
