The round table "Military and patriotic education of youth: experience and prospects" was held at Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs. The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, the Scientific Community of Students, Cadets, Postgraduate Students, Adjuncts, Doctoral Students and Young Scholars, the Department of Military Training of KhNUIA were among the organizers of this event.
The scientific and pedagogical staff of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, the National Academy of the National Guard of Ukraine, the Military Institute of Tank Troops of the National Technical University “Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute” (KHPI), the representatives of the military unit 3005 of the National Guard of Ukraine, H.S. Skovoroda Kharkiv National Pedagogical University, cadets, students of the Faculty No. 6 of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs and students of the Department of military training of the University took part in the round table.
The round table was opened by the Vice-Rector of the University, Doctor of Law, Professor Mykhailo Burdin, who said about the importance of the national and patriotic education of Ukrainian society and stressed, that the University pays a lot of attention to the youth education inspired by patriotism and national consciousness.
Serhii Babak, the Head of the Department of Military Training of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, Candidate of Military Sciences, Senior Researcher, Retired Colonel, made a report entitled “Military and patriotic education as a foundation of ideological work in the Armed Forces of Ukraine”.
The issues of educational space organization in the globalization conditions, problems of future officers’ training, measures of military staff consolidation, patriotic education of future officers, psychological and pedagogical principles of education of people liable for military service were discussed during the round table.
The event was held in compliance with quarantine requirements.
