Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs hosted the first stage of the XI Taras Shevchenko International Language and Literature Competition for Pupils and Students, organized by the Department of Ukrainian Studies of the Faculty No. 2 and the Department of Social and Humanitarian Disciplines of the Faculty No. 6.
This year the event was attended by 49 cadets and students. According to the Regulations on Taras Shevchenko International Language and Literature Competition for Pupils and Students, approved by the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 571 dated June 1, 2011, participants at all stages (university, regional, national) are divided into three categories: students of philology, non-philological students and cadets.
After the work of the professional jury consisting of Mykhailo Burdin, the Vice-Rector of the University, Professor, Volodymyr Hrechenko, the Head of the Department of Social and Humanitarian Disciplines, Professor, Head of the Department of Ukrainian Studies, Professor Ihor Chornyi, Viktoriia Pertseva, Associate Professor of Ukrainian Studies, Inna Holopych, Senior Lecturer of the same Department, and Nataliia Kobylko, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Social and Humanitarian Disciplines, the winners were determined.
The winners among the cadets were:
First place - 1st year cadet of the Faculty No. 1 Bohdana Savchuk;
Second place - 1st year cadet of the Faculty No. 4 Oleksandra Kozlyanska;
The third place was shared by the 1st year cadet of the Faculty No. 2 Maryna Kuhai and the 1st year cadet of the Faculty No. 3 Daria Metolkina.
The winners among students were:
First place - 1st year student Maryna Stukalova;
Second place - 1st year student Iryna Soma;
The third place was shared by 1st year students Denis Medyanyk and Mykhailo Stratulat.
We thank all the participants of the competition for their knowledge, desire to develop creative abilities and self-affirmation. We sincerely wish the winners to worthily represent our university in the next competitions at the regional and national stages of Taras Shevchenko International Language and Literature Competition for Pupils and Students!
