Nataliia Kobylko, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Social and Humanitarian Disciplines of the Faculty No. 6, Candidate of Philological Sciences passed advanced training on the course “Very Verified: online course on media literacy”, the main purpose of which was to teach the listeners to navigate the information and recognize misinformation and propaganda. The course consisted of five sections: “Media space”, “Traditional media”, “Social media”, “Misinformation and manipulation”, “Results”. The organizers have created interesting educational formats: “Espresso” (short articles and informative images), “Cappuccino” (training videos and articles), “Coffee with a croissant” (interview) and “Dessert” (interactive tasks, tests and additional materials).
The online course on media literacy has been developed by the international organization IREX together with the online education studio EdEra. It is a part of the project “Learn to Discern in Education (L2D-Ed)”, funded by the Embassy of the United States of America and the Embassy of the United Kingdom in Ukraine with the support of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine. Testing was the form of control, which the lecturer successfully passed and received the corresponding certificate.
