Oleksandr Poliakov, Chief of Staff of the Commercial Court of Kharkiv Region, gave a remote lecture for university staff and students on “The implementation of information technologies in the judicial system. Electronic Court”, which took place on the basis of the GoogleMeet platform.

The event was attended by Leonid Mohilevskyi, Vice-Rector of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, Professor of the Department of Legal Support of Economic Activity of the Faculty No.6, Olha Hetmanets, Head of the Department, Doctor of Legal Sciences, Professor, Professors Alina Chorna, Yuliia Kyrychenko, Iryna Sievidova, Assistant Professors of the same Department Iryna Vasylko, Oleksii Shumilo, Iryna Hryshyna, Valentyna Zhornokui, Tetiana Puzanova, Yevheniia Ananieva, Viktoriia Fursa and Daria Korobtsova, scientific and pedagogical staff and students.

Oleksandr Poliakov told future lawyers about the peculiarities of proceedings in the Commercial Court, and also focused on the structure and changes taking place in the judicial system of Ukraine. He explained the features of the innovative program of special training of candidates for the judge position, in which he participated.

The Chief of Staff of the Commercial Court paid special attention to the introduction in Ukraine of the electronic Unified Judicial Information and Telecommunication System (UJITS) in accordance with the Law of Ukraine “On Amendments to the Commercial Procedural Code of Ukraine, the Civil Procedural Code of Ukraine, the Administrative Procedure Code of Ukraine and other legislation” issued on 03.10.2017. UJITS has been operating in test mode since January 1, 2019, helping to solve problems. The electronic cabinet is the main tool for users’ access to UJITS. The Unified Judicial Information and Telecommunication System is a complex system, which is designed to ensure the use of electronic document control in courts, judicial authorities, relevant executive authorities. Most importantly, this system can be used by all trial process participants.

The participants of the event were given a presentation on the visualization of the main components of UJITS, such as Unified State Register of Veterinary Documents, Unified State Register of Court Decisions, Register of Executive Documents, electronic court, judicial statistics, electronic records management, automated distribution, financial and economic process management, contact center, web-portal of Judiciary of Ukraine.
