The meeting of the scientific circle of the Department of Law-Enforcement Activity and Policeistics of the Faculty No.6, dedicated to the 26th anniversary of the founding of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, was held online. The meeting was attended by students and lecturers of the department.

The introductory remarks were made by Iryna Panova, Head of the Department, who emphasized the importance of students’ participation in scientific competitions, scientific and practical conferences on the basis of KhNUIA, the requirements for writing, design and presentation of scientific papers of professional publishing houses in Ukraine. The practical direction of the educational process was also discussed.

Viktoriia Melnyk, Head of the circle, Associate Professor of the Department told about the historical stages of the founding of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, as well as the establishment of the first police school in Ukraine.

Olena Syniavska, Doctor of Legal Sciences, Professor told the members of the scientific circle about the educational process experience of developed countries. She also noted the leading role of Kharkiv Police University in the system of higher educational institutions regarding highly qualified employees’ training for the National Police.
