Vice-Rector of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs Leonid Mohilevskyi, Commissioner for Anti-Corruption Activities of the University Olha Piskunova, representatives of scientific and pedagogical staff, Department of International Cooperation, Educational and Methodological Department and Information and Technical Department, applicants for higher education of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, Sumy branch took part in a remote information seminar "Introduction to the building of integrity for educational institutions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine".

The information event was aimed at informing applicants for higher education, scientific and pedagogical staff of Higher Education Institutions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs on the implementation of the state policy of Euro-Atlantic integration, raising awareness of the activities and development of the North Atlantic Alliance and understanding of Ukraine-NATO cooperation in the field of building integrity. The seminar was attended by officials from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, the NATO International Secretariat and the NATO Mission in Ukraine.
         The event was opened by the Head of the NATO-Ukraine Integrity Program, NATO Headquarters, Dr. Nadja Milanova, who wished the participants fruitful work.
Vincent Rubber, Senior Legal Assistant at the Office of Legal Affairs of the NATO Communications and Information Agency gave an informative lecture on "International regulations, norms and standards on anti-corruption activities", during which he gave a definition of "corruption", identified its basic forms and types. In particular, during his speech, he focused on the social impact of corruption, the specifics and recent cases of corruption in the field of defense, anti-corruption factors (global, regional and local), NATO's integrity policy, the provisions of the UN Convention against Corruption and its ratification status in the world. The lecture aroused considerable interest among the participants of the event. Vincent Rubber comprehensively answered the questions of the participants of the event about the causes of corruption, mechanisms for tracking corruption, the most effective steps to combat it, etc.
Dr. Nadja Milanova, Head of the NATO-Ukraine Building Integrity Program, NATO Headquarters, covered the topic "NATO's Approach to Building Integrity: Concept, Evolution, Process and Consequences". During the lecture, the speaker outlined the concept of "integrity", the main purpose of building integrity, levels of integrity (political, organizational, personal), outlined NATO's partnership action plan for the development of defense institutions, tools and methodology to prevent corruption, effective strategies to prevent corruption and reduce corruption risks in the work of defense and security institutions, acquainted with the norms and standards of combating corruption, effective prevention strategies, etc. At the end of her speech, Dr. Nadja Milanova provided practical recommendations for the application of modern legal mechanisms to reduce the risk of corruption.

Participants actively took part in the seminar, asking chat questions to speakers on NATO activities and NATO's cooperation with Ukraine, to which they received comprehensive answers.
