Representatives of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs - Vice-Rector, Doctor of Law, Professor, Honored Lawyer of Ukraine, Police Colonel Oleksandr Muzychuk and Assistant to the Rector, Candidate of Law, Associate Professor Oksana Tsukan took part in the first meeting of the consortium of the international project "Sustainability and Internationalization Capacity for the Modernization of Higher Education for Debutants from the Eastern Partnership Countries", which took place in Teramo (Italy).

Internationalization and sustainable development are the missions of higher education institutions around the world, aimed at creating a high-quality and interconnected academic system that meets modern global challenges and the educational needs of a new generation of students.

The SIN-NEC project is aimed at strengthening the sustainability and internationalization of the competencies of higher education institutions with the support of two European higher education institutions and a private company (University of Teramo, Carinthia University of Applied Sciences,

Austria and SUMO TECHNOLOGIES). To achieve the goal of the project, after a comprehensive self-assessment, universities are called to develop the creative potential of teachers and administrative staff in planning and developing strategies and action plans in the direction of internationalization and sustainable development. The project involves improving the qualifications of teachers regarding innovative pedagogy and digital tools in a virtual environment. 

The main tasks of the project: strengthening of the potential of HEI, which will be used in modern strategic plans and actions for internationalization and sustainable development; professional development of teachers regarding the application of new teaching methods, language strategy,

management of heterogeneous groups of students, virtual exchange and sustainable development; modernization of hardware and software to support internationalization and virtual communication; academic mobility of higher education applicants. The project will be implemented within three years.
