The Head of the Department of International Cooperation, Tetiana Matiushkova, took part in an online meeting with EUAM Ukraine representatives Anette Schwitzke, Gender Adviser, and Yulia Petrova, Human Rights Training Expert.
The aim of the meeting was to discuss the results of the training on strengthening the capacity of security sector managers to prevent and combat gender-based discrimination and sexual harassment in the workplace, conducted by EUAM Ukraine in late October for the heads of structural units of the National Police of Ukraine, and to plan further cooperation between the National Police of Ukraine and EUAM Ukraine.
During the discussion, Anette Schwietzke shared the results of the pre- and post-testing of the participants, focused on raising awareness of managers about gender discrimination and sexual harassment in the workplace in order to form and maintain a policy to prevent these phenomena within individual units and in Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs.
As part of the planning of further cooperation, the participants of the online meeting agreed to conduct a ‘Train the Trainer’ training for the representatives of KhNUIA from among the participants of the October training and the academic staff, and agreed to work together to improve the methodological recommendations on combating gender discrimination and sexual harassment in the workplace, as well as the participation of EUAM Ukraine Gender Adviser Anette Schwitzke in international conferences organised by Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs on the above-mentioned issues, and her holding an open lecture for university students, etc. https://univd.edu.ua/uk/news/21239
