Tetiana Matiushkova, Assistant Professor of the Department of Criminalistics and Forensic Science of the Faculty No.1 of KhNUIA, Lieutenant Colonel of Police, conducted a binary practical lesson
with cadets of study group F2-16-301 with the participation of the lecturer of the Department of Prevention and Traffic of the Police School in Katowice (Poland) Michał Stępień in the course of Criminalistics on “investigation Methods of Rape ”.
During the practical lesson the forensic characteristics of the mentioned crimes, typical investigative situations of the initial stage of their investigation, versions, features of carrying out separate investigative (search) actions were discussed. The presentation of educational material was accompanied by examples of investigative and judicial practice.
Michał Stępień shared the polish experience of interrogating juvenile victims of violent crimes and introduced cadets to the polish model of cooperation between law enforcement agencies, social services and psychologists in the investigation of rape, including domestic violence.
During the lesson, the cadets had an opportunity to ask questions to a colleague from Poland, to compare national and Polish legislation on certain aspects of rape investigation and as a result to gain new knowledge in Criminalistics.
