As part of the Cepol Exchange Program ICU TOPCOP, Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs is visited by Captain Florine Locatelli, Deputy Chief of the International Trainings and Partnerships Department at the National Training Centre of Gendarmerie Forces; Mika Salminen, Detective Chief Inspector of Police of Finland, Head of the Investigation Unit for the Crime Prevention Division of the South Eastern Police Department in Kotka, Finland and the Chief Commissioner of Police, Head of the Foreign Languages ​​and Socio-Humanistic Sciences Department of the Border Police School of Training Agents Ioana Bordeianu.

The first vice-rector of the university, Police Colonel Dmytro Shvets, and vice-rector Leonid Mohilevskyi met with the foreign delegation. During the meeting, the guests were acquainted with the history of the university, areas of training, scientific and educational activities.

The participants also discussed the organization and conduct of joint educational and scientific activities, stressed the need to develop cooperation in education and science.

Florine Locatelli, Mika Salminen and Ioana Bordeianu are members of the Cepol Exchange Program ICU TOPCOP. Mariana Kachynska, Tetiana Matiushkova, Oleksandr Pabat and Vladyslav Shendryk from KhNUIA will take part in the program in 2021.

The Cepol Exchange Program is a one-week binary exchange program that provides a two-way exchange of experiences between partner police officers who perform similar functions and tasks in their official activities.

During the visit to KhNUIA Florine Locatelli, Mika Salminen and Ioana Bordeianu got acquainted with the work of the training ground “Police Department”, the training center for combating cybercrime and cyberspace monitoring, the tactical town “Crossroad”, language center, museum and observed university auditoriums.

The planned exchange program is also aimed at getting acquainted with the work of the Main Department of the National Police in Kharkiv region, the Patrol Police Department in Kharkiv region and the Kharkiv Scientific Research Forensic Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.

In addition, the program includes participation in binary classes, a round table “On identifying corruption risks in the MIA, ways to prevent and combat corruption of the Ministry of Internal Affairs” and an international scientific-practical conference “Actual problems of criminal procedure and criminalistics” at Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs.
