The Scientific Department of Kremenchuk Flight College of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs held a remote scientific seminar on “First Steps in the Science” for cadets and students of the college, dedicated to the 26th anniversary of the founding of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs.

Deputy Director of the College Yurii Shmelov delivered welcoming remarks to the participants of the scientific seminar. He motivated education applicants to join the events held on the basis of the College and the University.

The speaker of the scientific seminar was Head of the Scientific Department, Candidate of Economic Sciences Maryna Petchenko.

49 college education applicants, who are members of scientific circles and those who are planning to start the scientific activity, joined the scientific seminar.

During the scientific seminar, the following issues were considered: the regulatory and legal framework in the college that regulates scientific activity, the list of operating scientific circles in the college and their heads, the revealed issues of the advantages of cadet and student scientific activity in the college and its role in the further professional activity, how to start the scientific activity, types and results of scientific and research activity, its practical significance, conceptual apparatus and basic principles, and fundamental values of academic integrity, the responsibility for violation of academic integrity, technical tools for checking the uniqueness of works, etc.

The participants of the scientific seminar will use the acquired knowledge in the scientific and research activity while writing scientific articles, abstracts and scientific papers.
