Attaching special importance to the problem of an effective fight against corruption, Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs held a scientific and practical conference “Status and Prospects of Fight against Corruption in Ukraine”.

The participants of the scientific meeting were greeted by Dmytro Shvets, the Rector of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, Doctor of Legal Sciences, Associate Professor, Volodymyr Martynenko, Head of the Public Union “Center for Prevention and Combating Corruption”, Adviser to the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, Oleksandr Bandurka, Doctor of Legal Sciences, Professor, Academician of the National Academy of Legal Sciences of Ukraine, President of the Criminological Association of Ukraine, Honored Lawyer of Ukraine, Serhii Husarov, Doctor of Legal Sciences, Professor, Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Legal Sciences of Ukraine, Honored Lawyer
of Ukraine, Anatolii Fodchuk, Head of the Department for Prevention of Corruption and Lustration of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.

The conference was attended by more than 150 participants, such as representatives of the European Union Advisory Mission, Public Association “Center for Prevention and Combating Corruption”, profile department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, Kharkiv Territorial Department of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine, Main Directorate of the National Police in Kharkiv Region, National Academy of the National Guard of Ukraine, National Academy of Internal Affairs, National University of Civil Defense of Ukraine, and representatives of other institutions of higher education in Ukraine.

Based on the results of the conference, proposals will be developed and sent to the Department for Prevention of Corruption and Lustration of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.
