Olha Hetmanets, Professor of the Department of Legal Support of Economic Activity of the Faculty No. 6, took part in the All-Ukrainian Scientific and Practical Conference "Human Rights in Ukraine: Past, Present, Future". The conference took place at V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University. It was dedicated to the 72-nd anniversary of the UN General Assembly proclamation of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. At the conference, current issues related to the legal, economic, social and humanitarian aspects of ensuring human rights in Ukraine were examined; issues of organizing a modern system for the protection of human rights in the world and Ukraine, problems of communication between government and a person, human rights management, criminal justice and niches were discussed.

Olha Hetmanets’s report was devoted to the financial and legal issues of the territorial communities activities as a factor in ensuring the rights and freedoms of citizens in the region. As a result of the conference, proposals were adopted to improve the current legislation and practice of its application, conditions for the development of human rights and freedoms.
