A lecturer of the Department of Foreign Languages ​​of Faculty No1 of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences Valentyna Kochyna held an online meeting of the scientific circle on the ZOOM platform. The first-year cadets of Faculty No1 took part in it.

The topic of the discussion was "Writing English abstracts for a scientific conference." The basic requirements and rules of writing abstracts for a scientific conference were determined and the importance of quality of abstracts and prevention of academic plagiarism were emphasized.

The cadets unanimously agreed that even if an article is relevant and well-written, it will not succeed if the speaker is unconfident and does not possess the secrets of speaking to the audience.
