The issue of arming citizens with civilian firearms was the topic of a meeting of the scientific circle

A meeting of the scientific circle of the Department of Criminal Law and Criminology of Faculty №6 was held under the leadership of Associate Professor Irina Lutsenko. The topic of the meeting was a study of the problems related to the armament of citizens with civilian firearms. Bills on the circulation of civilian firearms in Ukraine submitted to the Verkhovna Rada were also analyzed. During the discussion, members of the scientific group expressed their views on current domestic legislation that allows citizens to exercise their right to own weapons, the draft Law on Civilian Weapons and Ammunition, the international experience of legalization and control of weapons, and the state of readiness of Ukrainian society armament of the civilian population.
