A scientific seminar on Dynamic Air Elasticity and Strengthening of Helicopter Rotor Blades Under Special Flight conditions was held by Volodymyr Tiahnii, lecturer-methodologist, Associate professor, Candidate of Technical Sciences for cadets of the Air Transport specialty, Aeronavigation specialization. The event took place in the Aerohydrogas and Flight Dynamics lecture hall of the department of Aeronavigation.
The purpose of the scientific seminar was to bring to the seminar participants as future helicopter pilots the physical nature of dangerous modes of loading helicopter rotor blades and practice pilots' actions to eliminate negative impact on the helicopter construction and recommendations to continue helicopter flight under normal conditions. Among the invited resonators, reviewers and experts were college flight safety instructor, highest category specialist, lecturer-methodologist Yevhen Yatsyna (former military helicopter pilot with more than three thousand hours of flight time) and lecturer of the department of Aeronavigation, first category specialist Yurii Oliinyk (former civil aviation helicopter pilot with more than ten thousand hours of flight time).
During the seminar the cadets made reports. Resonators, reviewers and experts made critical remarks and suggestions on each topic of the reports and provided practical advice on the helicopter crew actions in special flight conditions, using their own flight experience. The cadets were also shown educational films on the topic of the scientific seminar.
