The Head of the Department is Doctor of Legal Sciences, Professor Shcherbakovskyi Mykhailo Hryhorovych
Department of Criminal Procedure, Criminalistics and Expertology was created in the year of 2019 after division of the Department of Criminal and Law Disciplines of the Faculty No. 6. The Head of the Department is the Doctor of Legal Sciences, Professor Shcherbakovskyi Mykhailo Hryhorovych.
Lecturers of the Department carry out research in the following scientific areas:
- use of special knowledge in court proceedings;
- theoretical, methodological and procedural bases of forensic examinations;
- theoretical principles of covert investigative (investigative) actions during the investigation of crimes;
- features of the investigation of economic crimes;
- investigation of corruption crimes;
- improvement of criminal procedure legislation;
- problems of adversarial proceedings in criminal proceedings.
The lecturers of the Department are the scientific supervisors of two candidates for the degree of Doctor of Law and five candidates for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy.

For students of the first level of higher education (bachelors): "Pre-medical training", "Pre-trial investigation and trial of criminal cases", "Criminalistics", "Criminal proceedings", "Methods of investigating corruption crimes", "Organization and conduct of covert investigative (investigative) actions", "Fundamentals of operational and investigative activities", "Forensic expertise", "Forensic medicine and psychiatry".
For students of the second level of higher education (masters): "Actual problems of application of the criminal procedural legislation", "Use of modern information technologies in operatively-search activity", "Criminal analysis", "Methods of investigation of corruption crimes", "Comparative criminal process", "Modern problems of criminalistics".
For students of the third level of higher education (graduate students): "Directions of Development of Criminalistics", "Directions of Development of Criminal Process Science", "Directions of Development of Science Theory of Operational and Investigative Activities", "Modern Doctrines of Forensic Expertise", "Modern Doctrines of Criminalistics", "Modern Doctrines of Criminal Procedure", "Modern Doctrines of the Theory of Operative Search Activity ".
During the classes, multimedia technologies and forensic tools are used, students visit the forensic bureau, research forensic center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.
