The Department provides all kinds of study in 12 educational disciplines, including: “Philosophy”, “Philosophy of Science”, “Political Science”, “Logic”, “Methodology of Thesis Research and Linguistic Features of Scientific Style”, “History and culture of Ukraine”, “Ukrainian language for Specific Purposes”, “Ukrainian language as foreign language”, “Ukrainian / Russian language as foreign”, “Methodology of Scientific Activity”, “Methodology of scientific research”.

Main directions of scientific work of the Department:

History of Police and Militia;
Development of the science "History of Law" in the nineteenth century;
Formation of the totalitarian regime in Ukraine in the 1920s and 30s;
Philosophy of identity;
Legal logic;
Philosophical aspects of global problems of our time;
Features of architectonics and figurative system of the historical novel of the nineteenth century.
