The main tasks of the Department:

• ensuring purposeful interaction and coordination of the activities of the university's structural divisions in the implementation of research work;implementation of planning of scientific work and scientific and practical activities on the basis of strategic and management documents of the state, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, taking into account the specifics of the activities of individual units of the university;planning, organizing and conducting scientific events of the university (scientific and practical conferences, seminars, round tables, competitions of scientific works, etc.);
• ensuring timely response to violations of academic integrity by participants in the educational process of the university during scientific activity;
• identification and support of promising directions for the development of science, development and improvement of the effectiveness of existing scientific schools at the university, creation of an effective system of professional development and improvement of the professional skills of scientific personnel;
• coordination of the work of specialized academic councils of the university for the defense of dissertation studies;
• coordination of activities of the Scientific Society of students, cadets, trainees, graduate students, adjuncts, doctoral students and young scientists, as well as scientific circles regarding the quality preparation of scientific works, participation in educational and scientific events;
• organization and coordination of the implementation of the results of scientific research and development in the activities of law enforcement agencies;
• increasing the role of university specialists in the process of scientific support of the official activities of units that are part of the sphere of administration of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.

The main tasks of the Department:

• preparation for the publication of educational, methodological, reference and other scientific literature to ensure the educational process of the university and other educational institutions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, practical activities of the National Police of Ukraine;
• preparation for the publication of materials for scientific and practical events (conferences, seminars, round tables, etc.) held by the university, and periodical scientific specialist publications (within the limits determined by the Regulations on these publications) of the university;
• ensuring quality publications in the university's specialized publications, in particular in the collection of scientific works "Bulletin of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs" and the scientific journal "Law and Security";
• ensuring the inclusion of scientific specialized publications of the university in the largest possible number of international scientometric bases, repositories, libraries, catalogs; periodic updating of the composition of the editorial boards of scientific specialized publications in accordance with the regulatory requirements, set by the program objectives of the publications and the results of their activities;
• ensuring the prevention of violations of the principles of academic integrity provided for by the laws of Ukraine; editorial work on the manuscripts of publications, which are provided for by the Plan for publishing scientific and scientific-methodical literature by the university; publishing the results of scientific research in the main areas of the university's activities in print and on the Internet; provision of paid services in the field of publishing.

The main tasks of the Department:

• production of educational, methodical, reference and other scientific literature to ensure the educational process of the university and other educational institutions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, practical activities of the National Police of Ukraine;
• production of collections of materials for scientific and practical events held by the university, periodical scientific publications "Bulletin of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs" and "Law and Security";
• fulfillment of orders of the University's departments and divisions for the production of blank products;
• calculation of cost estimates for the order and their further support, compilation of technological cards, calculation of needs for basic and auxiliary materials; execution of binding works; ensuring proper functioning and maintenance of printing equipment.

The main tasks of the Department:

• ensuring copyright and related rights by implementing a mechanism for the protection of intellectual property rights in relation to the results of scientific research, based on the model of cooperation ‘state - university - safe community’;
• ensuring protection and legitimate use of intellectual property;
• coordination of work on information support of activities in the field of intellectual property rights protection; development of draft university regulations in the field of intellectual property rights protection;
• keeping records of applications filed and patents granted at the university; conducting research work in the field of intellectual property protection;
• establishing cooperation between the university and research institutions, research departments of other higher education institutions of Ukraine in order to exchange experience and conduct joint research activities in the field of intellectual property protection.
