Faculty No. 6 is a multidisciplinary structural unit of the Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, at which students of intramural and extramural forms of study are studied at the expense of individuals and legal entities. The Faculty has a certain specificity in the training of specialists in comparison with other State and non-State ownership institutions that offer educational services in similar specialties in Kharkiv Region.
The Faculty provides a multi-level training of specialists of “bachelor’s” and “master’s” degrees of higher education.
The Faculty provides graduated training of specialists of higher education degrees "Bachelor" and "Master".
Training of specialists of the higher education degree "Bachelor" is carried out on the basis of complete general secondary education in the following specialties:

Training of specialists of the higher education degree "master" on the basis of the higher education degree "bachelor" (educational qualification level "specialist") is carried out in the following specialties:
The Department of Military Training carries out training of students under the reserve officer training program in the specialty "Moral and psychological support of operations of troops (forces)". After its completion, students who have successfully completed certification in their specialty are assigned the military rank of "junior lieutenant" of the reserve.
Under the patronage of the Faculty, the Legal Clinic of KhNUIA and the Gender Center of KhNUIA operate, in which the Faculty's academic staff and students, practicing lawyers, psychologists, sociologists and specialists in other fields take an active part.
The student self-government at the Faculty is implemented through the student council. Its main tasks are to ensure and protect the rights and interests of students, fulfill their duties, promote educational, scientific, creative activities of students, and their participation in the implementation of state youth policy.
Students of the Faculty take an active part in national, regional and university scientific, cultural, entertainment and sports events.
A student dormitory is provided for accommodation of the students of the Faculty on the territory of the educational base of KhNUIA. It is equipped with all the necessary communications and facilities for proper living and leisure activities.
The most prepared and gifted graduates of the Faculty No. 6, who have a penchant for research and teaching work, have the opportunity to continue their studies at the graduate school of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs or other higher educational institutions.
A significant part of the graduates of the Faculty No. 6 of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs make up the personnel reserve for serving in internal affairs bodies (if desired).
