The Department of Legal Support of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs is a structural unit of the University, which was created for the purpose of organizing and implementing legal support for the functioning of structural units and monitoring compliance with legality in their activities. The department reports directly to the Rector of the University.

The main tasks and activities of the department are: organization of legal work, which is aimed at the correct application and strict compliance with the requirements of the legislation of Ukraine in the practical activities of the university and its structural divisions, legal support of the financial and economic activities of the university related to the conclusion of agreements (contracts), as well as organization of claim and lawsuit work, implementation of control over its conduct.

The department interacts with all units of the university and constantly works to create conditions for increasing the efficiency of the university's work, implementing on this basis professional, labor and socio-economic guarantees of employees, ensuring their constitutional rights and achieving harmony in the collective.
