A regular meeting of the Academic Council of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs was held. Rector of the University, General of Police of the third rank Valerii Sokurenko, Academician of the National Academy of Legal Sciences of Ukraine Oleksandr Bandurka, Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Legal Sciences of Ukraine Serhii Husarov, First vice-rector Colonel Dmytro Shvets, vice-rectors, and Heads of Structural subdivisions took part in the meeting.

During the meeting, the results of all types of internships by applicants for higher education and research work of cadets, students and trainees in the 2020/2021 academic year were summed up; the attestation cases concerning assignment of scientific titles to scientific and pedagogical workers of the university were considered; the state of implementation of the decisions of the Academic Council of the University for the first half of 2021 was analyzed; the Work Plan of the Academic Council of KhNUIA for the 2021/2022 academic year was approved; the implementation of the Anti-Corruption Programme of KhNUIA in the first half of 2021 was discussed and amendments to it were made; the timing of the election of delegates to the conference of the university staff and the convening of the first meeting of the conference were approved; the topics of dissertation research initiated by the departments for the degree of Doctor of Sciences (Doctor of Philosophy) were approved There were also nominations for the scholarship of Kharkiv Mayor "Giftedness" for children and youth in the 2021/2022 school year; regional scholarship of Kharkiv regional state administration; personal scholarship by the KRSA named after O.S. Maselsky; regional scholarships for orphans and children deprived of parental care, as well as students and cadets aged 18 to 23 who lost their parents during their studies and excelled in their studies, etc.

Members of the Academic Council also discussed the possibility of transferring students from faculty No. 6 to the cadets of the university, taking into account the available vacancies of cadets of faculties No. 1-4.

The rector of the university Valerii Sokurenko presented awards to employees, cadets, and students of the university and wished them success and new achievements.

For the victory in the All-Ukrainian competition "Young Lawyer of the Year 2020" in the nomination "Young Legal Adviser" the diploma was awarded to Professor of theory and history of state and law, faculty No. 1, Candidate of Law, Associate Professor Yuliia Zahumenna.

Gratitude were awarded to:

Head of the Department of Civil Law, Candidate of Law, Associate Professor Alexei Zaitsev for high professionalism and active participation in the branch commission of the second round of the All-Ukrainian competition of student research papers in "Civil and Family Law" and "Intellectual Property";

Professor of the Department of Information Technologies and Cybersecurity of faculty No. 4, Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor Volodymyr Strukov for scientific guidance and professionalism in training the winner of the International competition of student research papers on cybersecurity;

3rd year cadet of faculty No. 4 Vladyslav Hudilin for the third place in the International competition of student research papers on cybersecurity (in English);

2nd year cadet of faculty No. 1 Victoriia Kolesnyk for active participation in the final scientific-practical conference of the second round of the All-Ukrainian competition of student research papers in the specialty "Administrative law and process; finance law; information law ".

For participation in the All-Ukrainian competition of student research papers in the specialty "Intellectual Property" Diploma was awarded to a first-year student of faculty No. 6 Alyona Tsipolon.

For the victory in Kharkiv regional competition of student research papers in natural, technical sciences and humanities (socio-humanitarian and economic areas) in the field of "humanities" a Diploma of III degree was awarded to a third-year cadet of faculty No. 2 Maksym Hrymalyak.

According to the results of the All-Ukrainian competition of student research papers in the specialty "Administrative law and process; finance law; information law” Diploma of the II degree and for the victory in the II round of the All-Ukrainian competition of student research papers in the specialty “International Law” in 2020-2021 academic year Diploma of the III degree was awarded to the 4th year cadet of faculty No. 2 Vladislav Stepanenko.

The rector of the university Valerii Sokurenko also presented diplomas in various nominations to the university trainees based on the results of the defense of scientific papers in the final scientific-practical conference of the competition of scientific papers by applicants for the first (bachelor's) level of higher education.

Diploma for the first place in the nomination "Tactical-special and service-combat training" - 2nd year cadets of the faculty № 1 Olena Yeliseyeva;

Diploma for the third place in the nomination "Economic Sciences and Finance" – to the 4th year cadet of faculty No. 2 Vadym Polishchuk;

Diploma for the second place in the nomination "Criminal Law and Criminology" – to the 3rd year cadet of faculty No. 2 Anastasiia Dorosh;

Diploma for the third place in the nomination "Science of Defense and Security of the State" – to the 3rd year cadet of faculty No. 2 Yevhen Vivcharenko.
